Puppy School

At Dog Solutions, we offer a four week course for puppies starting between 8 and 16 weeks of age. This time is whats known as the "critical period" for training and socialisation, helping you build your puppy into a confident and well balanced individual, who can be a polite member of society and behave well enough to participate in family life.

 

This is a great opportunity to get started on the right foot and get ahead of the pack!

 

We have a maximum of 10 puppies in each class, to ensure that everyone has the most fun, and a "fair go"! Puppies and owners!

 

At our Puppy School you will learn:

• ·       How to read canine body language to help you recognise dog responses

• ·       How to have children and dogs in harmony

• ·       Effective and gentle dog training techniques

• ·       To teach your dog to sit, drop, come when called

• ·       To begin stay, wait (not snatching food) and an introduction to heel

• ·       Successful toilet training techniques

• ·       Grooming requirements and preventative health care

• ·       Behaviour problem solving and behaviour problem prevention.

• ·       ...and much more!

  

Your puppy will also receive the benefit of socialising with other puppies. This is a really important opportunity at this early development stage as they learn valuable canine communication skills. Many dogs that did not go to puppy preschool develop issues with dogs outside of their "home pack".

    

Socialisation does not stop at just other dogs. Your puppy will enjoy an entire class dedicated to exposing them to different objects, noises and scenarios. We even stage a mock thunderstorm!

 

We will help you achieve a happy and confident dog! And the best part is that puppies and their owners have a great time!
